Accelerated Connection holds many unique partnerships with a variety of upstream providers connected through a fully redundant core, distribution and edge network built utilizing both industry standard Cisco and Juniper equipment.
ACI provides a wide offering of bandwidth connectivity packages and options to meet this specific needs. Clients are able to purchase bandwidth directly from ACI or if they wish for a different offering, they may utilize a cross connect to other providers through fiber stands running to the facility's "meet me" room. At the meet me room, clients are able to cross connect with nearly any provider easily.
Diversified Bandwidth Options
Every client's needs for bandwidth differs dependant on their business model, type of service offered to their clients, and types of data transversing the links both in and out of the colocation cabinet. For this reason, ACI proudly offers a variety of bandwidth connectivity options allowing clients to select the one that best suits their unique requirements. Bandwidth can be purchased directly through ACI, and billed at the 95th percentile, or purchased from another upstream provider through a cross connect at ACI's colocation switches.
Burstable Billing (95th Percentile Billing)
ACI utilizes burstable billing as it's main style of calculating bandwidth use for it's colocation clients. Samples of data are taken at 5 minute intervals and tracked utilizing network monitoring software. At the end of a billing cycle (generally, the end of the month), all samples are combined, and the top 5% of bandwidth is removed. The remaining samples are utilized to calculated the billed rate of bandwidth. This style of billing is beneficial for the client in many ways, as it allows for short spikes of high bandwidth utilization without the worry or an excessive bill, or the problem of saturating a link.
