What is DSL?
DSL is a technology that dramatically increases the digital capacity of ordinary telephone lines. Both ADSL and SDSL offer unique features that can provide an excellent telecom solution for your business.

DSL stands for Digital Subscriber Line, a long-proven technology that provides fast Internet connections over standard telephone lines. It offers superior speed and performance at an economical monthly price. Best of all, DSL provides a persistent, always-on connection. You'll never again have to wait for your modem to dial in to connect you to the Internet. Whenever your computer is ready to connect, your DSL connection is ready too.

Distance requirements
Both ADSL and SDSL are both distance sensitive. The closer your business is located from the CO, the faster your speed and the higher your bandwidth. For ADSL, your business must be located within 18,000 feet from the telephone company's central office (CO) to get service. For SDSL, you can be located as far away as approximately 23,000 feet.

If any of the above mentioned are applicable, a new line would need to be ordered or a service removed, before DSL can be provisioned.

LAN Extensions (Direct Fibre Connection)

A LAN extension is a private fibre-based ethernet connection from your facility to ACI's data centre at 151 Front St. in Toronto. This service is typically used by businesses to connect two sites for the purpose of data transfer. LAN extensions are becoming a standard solutions for multi-locations businesses needing daily access to company servers or head offices. This gives organiztions faster committed speeds and permits a closer point of presence to the organization's multiple retail chains and offices.

Co-Location Services

ACI's co-location service allows client's to place their own servers in a secure Internet Data Centre. Clients co-locating their servers in our data centre at 151 Front Street in Toronto are directly connected to our backbone and are able to connect to their various locations without traversing the internet. This infrastructure ensures a totally private POS transaction environment for retailers and businesses, as well as increases connection speeds and network reliability.

Accelerated Connections Inc. has a 1000 SqFt state of the art suite located on the 8 th floor of 151 Front Street comprised of:
