Other providers have a separate infrastructure for Telus and Bell connections. This means that circuits in Western Canada and the circuits in Eastern Canada terminate on separate networks. As a result, merchants that have locations in both Western and Eastern Canada must traverse the Internet to connect their locations together.

ACI has both Telus and Bell feeds coming into the Data Centre at 151 Front St. in Toronto. The structure of the network allows ACI to create a single contiguous IP solution for customers which may include a private IP scheme.

Accelerated Connections understands the unique requirements of retail networks and provides not only a network connection, but a total network solution. Our network consists of predominantly business users. Over 90% of ACI’s business users are retail and multi-location customers.

Data is inherently more secure as ACI’s high speed services connect directly to our private network backbone and some of Canada’s largest payment processors without traversing the public internet. This is an important factor for customers wishing to process debit and credit transactions over an IP network. Our private network offers the security and redundancy that today’s technology requires.
