As devices authenticate against ACI's edge routers, they are identified and re-routed to dedicated and redundant edge routers where a privatized cloud has been created specifically for your business. Within the privatized cloud, the newly created network enjoys a dedicated routing table as to ensure to utilize nearly any IP scheme they wish, without conflict to other devices within ACI's network. This feature allows the utmost flexibility in IP assignment, selection and deployment.

As connections are immediately routed into a privatized cloud, traffic is not routed over nor accessible to the public Internet, nor other clients within ACI's network. Once authenticated into the network, sites are able to communicate with one another seamlessly without the use of other complicated and potentially cumbersome VPN connections.

While clients with "on-net" connections with ACI can easily connect into the private network cloud, sites in other locations around the world may not have the ability to connect securely in the same fashion. In these cases, ACI is able to build, maintain and support VPN Tunnels back to redundant Enterprise class Netscreen VPN Concentrators, which are then directly connected back into ACI's core network and your privatized network cloud utilizing IPSec and 3DES data encryption.

ACI�s managed VPN service is designed for multi-location businesses wanting to connect all sites on a fully managed nationwide, secure network. Each site, including head office, has a configured router that connects directly to a VPN concentrator at ACI�s data centre resulting in a hub and spoke scenario.
