Second Cup, Canada’s largest specialty coffee café franchisor, no longer wanted to deal with middlemen and wanted to have a direct relationship with an ISP. They had previously gotten all of their services done through middlemen which was more costly and lacked the personal relationship direct customers have with ACI. Having the middlemen brought a fair amount of grief to their service desk and their clientele. As well, they required a setup that would allow them to have less equipment (ie. Routers and modems) to manage, and therefore less headaches.
